Team Genius at Littlefield.
This is one of our favorite bills that we’ve ever played on. If you enjoy things that are good, you will enjoy the full evening a great deal.
11 - Team Genius
Come out early. We’re getting a dice game together in the back of the room.
OMG FANS!
We’re going to Philadelphia (home of Rocky) this Saturday night for a show at The Fire.
If not, then you can just see us next Saturday, the 12th, at Littlefield in Park Slope. It’s a big extravaganza that we’re doing with Miniboone (whom are most awesome).
Also, we just finished overdubbing sounds on an EP. If it’s mixed in time we’ll be giving it away for free at the show. It’s pretty much the audio equivalent of this:
158 Ludlow St.
It’s going to be
that kind of party.
See you there.

Get ready fans, friends and foes. Team Genius recorded an EP of some old classics over the break and it promises to rock. Here are some photos of us in the studio.

Extra special amazing thanks to our awesome engineer, Eric.

Oh man the holidays. Team Genius is celebrating in the recording studio.

This is what we’re gifting to each other, and you know, the world:
Scott: cymbals, snare, sticks, shakers, tambo and some good fucking ideas for once, Christ.
Allens: horns, rainbows
Hudik: bass, coke and hookers
Emma: Guitar, a Canadian can-do attitude
Chad: farts
Erin: THE FUCKING THUNDER!
And Drew brought some Cheetos.
So happy holidays fans and friends! (And yes we know that’s what terrorists say…)
Are you ready for this?

Team Genius was recently interviewed by Discosalt. Click here to read about our new and yet to be released second album, the popularity of prime time vampire housewives, Latin pop-rapper Gerardo, Man-Dogs vs. Bears, and the future of Indie Rock.

A big thanks to everyone who came out to Mercury Lounge last night! You were lovely and we had an excellent time.
We taped an interview with the fine folks at
Discosalt before the show and they took some live footage of us singing songs to you. We should hopefully be able to share that shortly. We’ll also be passing around a new single sometime this month. It should sound like pretty good music (fingers crossed).
Finally, for those of you who couldn’t make it out last night and for those of you who may have enjoyed yourselves last night, we’ll be playing
Littlefield in Park Slope on Saturday, October 2nd. It’s a cool place. Then we’ll probably hang out at Pac Standard or one of those good beer bars on 4th Ave. afterward. It’s a Saturday after all. You should join us for both.
TG is headlining a show this Thursday at Mercury Lounge. It’s our first in months and it shall be grand. Come out! Rock out!

Team Genius has some exciting updates for you, dear fans.
TEAM GENIUS ON TV: Our song “ABC” was featured in an episode of “
The Gates” which coincidentally airs on ABC. As far as we can tell
the show has something to do with vampires living in a gated community. I’m guessing it’s something like Desperate Housewives but with vampires. So that´s exciting.
TEAM GENIUS ON AN IMPORTANT STAGE: We are headlining a
Mercury Lounge show on Thursday, September 9th. Thanks to tremendous support from a lot of you back in February
the fine folks at Bowery Presents have asked us back and gave us
the big kid spot. While this admittedly makes us a bit nervous we are also extremely, gratuitously excited. Just wanted to mention it now because we’re going to try to get every soul that has ever crossed our paths to attend this show and celebrate with us. It’s going to be a fine time.
TEAM GENIUS INSIDE YOUR STEREO: We are recording a long playing record. It could possibly be pretty good. We are recording it with our friend Eric Zeiler of
the band
Xylos. He is very good. We should finish recording
the requisite sounds in August and finish mixing said sounds in September (hopefully). Then we’ll probably try to get other people to listen to it and say nice things about us.
That’s all for now. I hope every one’s summer is going swimmingly (get it?!).
See you in September if not before.
